½cupShortening
1teaspoonVanilla
½cupConfectioners' sugar
2cupsAll-purpose flour, sifted
¾cupNuts, finely chopped
Confectioner's sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 deg f. In medium mixing bowl, cream butter or margarine, shorthening, and vanilla until fluffy. Mix the ½ cup confectioner's sugar, flour, and nuts togethert; add to creamed mixture, stirring to form a soft dough. Shape dough into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake cookies about 10 minutes, or until lightly brown. Roll warm cookies in confectioner's sugar.
