Pineapple plantation cake

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 tablespoons Margarine or butter
½ cup Brown sugar
6 \N Slices canned pineapple
12 \N Maraschino cherries
\N \N Ginger cake mix

Melt the 3 T butter or margarine in an 8x2 inch square pan. Add the ½ cup of brown sugar and well-drained pineapple slices and cherries. Fill ⅔ full with gingercake batter and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. May substitute white or yellow cake mix.
