Overnight winter fruit bowl

Ingredients

3Egg yolks, beaten
2tablespoonsWhite sugar
2tablespoonsWhite vinegar
2tablespoonsPineapple juice or syrup from a can
1tablespoonButter
Salt to taste
2cupsSeeded grapes or drained pitted cherries
2cupsPineapple chunks, drained
2cupsMandarin oranges, drained
2cupsTiny marshmallows
1cupWhipping cream, whipped

Combine the first six ingredients in a double boiler. Cook and stir until thick. Do not boil! Fold this cooled sauce into whipped cream, then fold into the fruit. Place in a large serving bowl and garnish the top with fruit if desired. Place in refrigerator for 24 hours. Serve cold. Yield: 8-10 Source: Fare for Friends
