Oriental casserole

Measure Ingredient
1½ pounds Hamburger or ground turkey
1 small Onion, chopped
½ cup Chopped celery
1 can (small) sliced water chestnuts, drained and liquid reserved
1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained and liquid reserved
⅔ cup Raw rice (measure dry)
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
⅓ cup Soy sauce

Brown hamburger, onion, and celery in a skillet; drain off fat. Add water chestnuts, mushrooms, rice, salt, pepper, and soy sauce sauce to hamburger mixture. Add enough water to reserved liquids to make 2 cups. Stir into hamburver mixture.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour. Makes 6-8 servings.
