|¾ cup||Whole-wheat flour|
|¾ cup||Rolled oats|
|½ cup||Unbleached flour|
|1 tablespoon||Baking powder|
|½ cup||Brown sugar; packed|
|3 tablespoons||Wheat germ|
|1 teaspoon||Ground cinnamon|
|½ cup||Orange juice freshly squeezed|
|1 large||Egg; lightly beaten|
|1 cup||Banana; mashed|
|2 tablespoons||Orange zest; grated|
|¼ cup||Unsalted butter; melted|

In a large bowl, combine the dry (first 8) ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the liquid ingredients, mixing well. Add the liquids to the dry ingredients all at once and stir until just moistened. Spoon the mixture into the muffin cups, filling each ⅔ full.
Bake for approx. 25 mins, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in center of muffin comes out clean.
