1 cup | White sugar |
1 cup | Brown sugar |

1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
2 cups | All purpose flour |
1 teaspoon | Baking soda |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
½ teaspoon | Baking powder |
2 cups | Quick oatmeal; uncooked |
1 pack | (12-oz) chocolate chips |
1 cup | Chopped nuts (optional) |
1 cup | Raisins (optional) |
Cream butter & sugars. Add eggs & vanilla. Mix. Combine baking soda, salt & baking powder with flour. Add oatmeal. Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in chips, raisins & nuts by hand. Spread mixture in a 12x18-inch ungreased cookie pan or two 9x9-inch pans & bake at 350 for 20 minutes. (Do not overcook.) Cut into bars while warm. Bakes 60 bars. (Really good, moist & chewy.) SUE CARTER
