|1 cup||Yellow cornmeal|
|1 cup||All purpose flour|
|1 tablespoon||Plus 1 ts baking powder|
|¼ cup||Shortening, melted|
|10||Slice bacon, cooked/crumbled|
|Creole Celery Sauce|
Combine first six ingredients, add milk, shortening, and egg mixing well. Stir in bacon. Pour batter into a well greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut into squares, and serve with Creole Celery Sauce.
