Microwave spaghetti sauce

Ingredients

½poundsGround beef
½cupChopped onion
2Cloves garlic; minced
1can(28-oz) tomatoes
2cans(8-oz) tomato sauce
2teaspoonsSalt
2teaspoonsOregano
¼teaspoonBasil
¼teaspoonGround thyme
Freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions

Crumble beef into 1-quart casserole. Add onion and garlic. Cook uncovered about 6 minutes, stirring to break up meat. Add remaining ingredients (break up tomatoes with fork or potato masher). Cook, covered, about 15 minutes until mixture is well blended and slightly thickened. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve piping hot over spaghetti. Makes about 2 quarts.
