Mellow stew

Ingredients

2cupsWater
½cupKetchup
3tablespoonsWhite vinegar
3tablespoonsBrown sugar, packed
2cupsSliced carrot
1cupChopped onion
1teaspoonSalt
¼teaspoonPepper

Directions

Brown beef in cooking oil in large pot or Dutch oven.

Add water, ketchup, vinegar and brown sugar. Stir. Cover. Boil slowly for 1¼ hours.
