20 | ounces | Vegetables, frozen, mixed |
2 | cups | Beef broth |
5 | tablespoons | Flour |
3 | cups | Brown beef cubes |

7 | ounces | Mashed potatoes, instant |
Directions
Cook veggies as directed on package. Drain.
Heat 1½ c. broth, add flour and remaining ½ cup broth to make smooth paste. Heat, stirring frequently, until smooth and thickened.
Add beef, vegetables, salt and pepper to taste, simmer 20 minutes.
While stew simmers prepare instant potatoes per instructions. Serve stew piping hot with potatoes around edge.
VARIATIONS:
Omit potatoes and serve stew over quick cooking rice or top hot stew with packaged refrigerator biscuits and bake in 425 F. oven for 20 minutes.
