Measure Ingredient
2 pounds Beef(cubed)
2 Onions cut in eighths
4 Stalks celery cut diagonally
5 Carrots cut diagonally
12 ounces Tomato juice
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
¼ teaspoon Basil
4 Potatoes sliced 1" thick
⅓ cup Quick cooking tapioca

Combine all ingredients except potatoes. Bake at 300 degrees F for 2½ hours. Add potatoes and bake for another hour.
