5 cups | Kellogg's Rice Krispies |

Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Cook over low heat for 3 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Cut into 2-inch squares when cool.
NOTE: Best results are obtained when using fresh marshmellows.
VARIATIONS: To make thicker squares, press warm mixture into buttered : 9 x 9 2-inch pan.
MARSHMALLOW CREME TREATS: About 2 cups marshmallow creme may be substituted for marshmallows. Add to melted margarine and stir until well blended. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Proceed as directed in step 2 above.
PEANUT TREATS: Add 1 cup salted cocktail peanuts with the cereal.
PEANUT BUTTER TREATS: Stir ¼ cup peanut butter into marshmallow mixture just before adding cereal.
RAISIN TREATS: Add 1 cup seedless raisins with cereal.
COCOA KRISPIES CEREAL TREATS: 6 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal may be substituted for 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal.
