|2 teaspoons||Baking soda|
|⅔ pounds||[Trader Joe's] dark chocolate|
|⅓ cup||Cocoa powder; optional|
|2 teaspoons||Vanilla extract|
|1 \N||Bag semisweet chocolate chips|
Mix first 3 ingredients together.
Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Beat in vanilla Cool a bit Beat in eggs.
Add wet to dry ingredients. Mix promptly. Stir in chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 9½ to 10 minutes in oven preheated to 375 degrees. Makes 6 dozen 3-inch cookies. Eat entire batch before they cool. Deny having made any.
