Mark and lily's chocolate cookies

Ingredients

| 4½ | cup | Flour |
| 2 | teaspoons | Baking soda |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | pounds | Butter |
| ⅔ | pounds | [Trader Joe's] dark chocolate |
| ⅓ | cup | Cocoa powder; optional |
| 2 | teaspoons | Vanilla extract |
| 4 | Eggs | |
| 1 | Bag semisweet chocolate chips | |
Directions
Mix first 3 ingredients together.
Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Beat in vanilla Cool a bit Beat in eggs.
Add wet to dry ingredients. Mix promptly. Stir in chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 9½ to 10 minutes in oven preheated to 375 degrees. Makes 6 dozen 3-inch cookies. Eat entire batch before they cool. Deny having made any.
