2 teaspoons | Baking soda |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
1 pounds | Butter |
⅔ pounds | [Trader Joe's] dark chocolate |
⅓ cup | Cocoa powder; optional |
2 teaspoons | Vanilla extract |
4 \N | Eggs |
1 \N | Bag semisweet chocolate chips |
Mix first 3 ingredients together.
Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Beat in vanilla Cool a bit Beat in eggs.
Add wet to dry ingredients. Mix promptly. Stir in chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 9½ to 10 minutes in oven preheated to 375 degrees. Makes 6 dozen 3-inch cookies. Eat entire batch before they cool. Deny having made any.
