Louisiana yam pie

Ingredients

2cupsYams; cooked & mashed
2Eggs; beaten
¼teaspoonSalt
¾cupMilk
1cupSugar
½cupButter; melted
1teaspoonVanilla
1teaspoonCinnamon (optional)
1(9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Directions

Mix all ingredients together well and pour into the pie shell. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip before serving.
