Louisiana yam pie

Ingredients

| 2 | cups | Yams; cooked & mashed |
| 2 | Eggs; beaten | |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¾ | cup | Milk |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| ½ | cup | Butter; melted |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon (optional) |
| 1 | (9-inch) unbaked pie shell | |
Directions
Mix all ingredients together well and pour into the pie shell. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip before serving.
