Lasoon chutney (garlic) (w)

Ingredients

QuantityIngredient
5Cloves garlic; 5-6, sliced
1cupCoconut shreds; unsweetened
1tablespoonCumin seed; whole
3Red chiles; 3-4, dried
2tablespoonsSesame seeds
2tablespoonsTamarind pulp; seedless
¼cupPeanuts; unsalted
½teaspoonSalt; or to taste

Directions

Roast all of the above ingredients independently with the exception of the salt in a dry skillet until they turn reddish brown in color. Grind them in a coffee mill and serve either dry as a condiment or serve with ghee.
