Kiwifruit- onion chutney

Ingredients

1cupWhite vinegar
1cupBrown sugar, packed
¾teaspoonSalt
½teaspoonGround ginger
teaspoonGround red pepper
1cupCooking apple, peeled and chopped
½cupSweet onions, thinly sliced
½cupRaisins
¼Lemon, thinly sliced
cupKiwi fruit, peeled and chopped

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large saucepan; cook over low heat until mixture is reduced to 1 cup. Add apple and next 3 ingredients; cook 10 minutes. Stir in kiwifruit; bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cool. Cover & chill. Serve with poultry, pork or ham.

Yield: 2½ cups
