Kaylynne's spanish rice

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 tablespoons Oil
8 ounces Tomato sauce
2 cups Uncooked rice
¾ teaspoon Cumin
½ medium Bell pepper -- chp
¾ teaspoon Garlic powder
½ cup Onion -- chopped
¾ teaspoon Salt
4 cups Chicken broth
½ teaspoon Pepper

Brown the rice, onion and bell pepper over medium heat. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Simmer, covered, for approximately 20 minutes.

Remove lid and simmer until all liquid is absorbed. DO NOT STIR RICE or it will be sticky! If rice begins to stick to pan, gently move the rice with a fork. Fluff before serving. Converted by MMCONV vers. 1.00 Recipe By :
