Yield: 4 Servings
|4 smalls||Firm ripe bananas, peeled (1-1/4 pounds)|
|1 tablespoon||Instant coffee granules|
|⅓ cup||Firmly packed brown sugar|
|3 tablespoons||Reduced-calorie stick margarine|
|¼ cup||Kahlua or other coffee-flavored liqueur|
|1⅓ cup||Vanilla nonfat frozen yogurt|
Cut each banana in half crosswise, and cut each piece in half lengthwise.
Set banana pieces aside.
Bring water to a boil in a large nonstick skillet. Add the coffee granules, brown sugar, and margarine; reduce heat to medium, and cook until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently. Add banana pieces; cook 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
Remove from heat, and stir in Kahlua. Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 4 banana pieces, 2-½ tablespoons sauce, and ⅓ cup frozen yogurt).
