Yield: 1 Servings
|1 quart||Vanilla ice cream; softened|
|½ teaspoon||Lime peel; grated|
|3 teaspoons||Canned jalapenos; diced|
The food editor suggests putting a whole large fresh jalapeno (their quote: "more if you dare, seeded if you're a wimp"), a tablespoon of granulated sugar and the half teaspoon of lime peel in a food processor until they're finely minced, then adding a PINT of softened ice cream or yogurt, process then re-freeze until firm. Me, I'll be trying it with that big jalapeno I picked from my garden yesterday. This should be fun!! Busted by Christopher E. I just ran across the article again, and wanted to know if anyone had ever tried this before I just had to.
