Italian pasta sauce

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Hamburger
½ cup Sliced mushrooms and liquid
1 cup Chopped onion
1 teaspoon Oregano
1 large Crushed garlic clove
½ teaspoon Basil
3½ cup Whole peeled tomatoes
1 teaspoon Salt
⅔ cup Tomato paste
⅛ teaspoon Pepper
½ cup Water

Brown ground chuck or hamburger with onion and garlic in large saucepan. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to break up tomatoes. Boil gently, uncovered 1 hour. Stir occasionally. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
