Italian pasta sauce

| ½ | cup | Sliced mushrooms and liquid |
| 1 | cup | Chopped onion |
| 1 | teaspoon | Oregano |
| 1 | large | Crushed garlic clove |
| ½ | teaspoon | Basil |
| 3½ | cup | Whole peeled tomatoes |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| ⅔ | cup | Tomato paste |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| ½ | cup | Water |
Directions
Brown ground chuck or hamburger with onion and garlic in large saucepan. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to break up tomatoes. Boil gently, uncovered 1 hour. Stir occasionally. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
