Hearty burgundy spaghetti sauce

Ingredients

19ouncesChunky Stewed Tomatoes
ounceTomato paste
1tablespoonOlive Oil
2Onions chopped
4Crushed garlic cloves or
2Minced garlic
14ouncesCan Tomato sauce
½cupRed wine or white (optional)
1Sweet green pepper
1teaspoonDried leaf basil
½teaspoonLeaf oregano

Directions

Heat oil in a large saucpan set over medium heat. Add Chunky pasta-style stewed Tomatoes with Tomatoe Paste and red or white wine to the sauce pan. Add onions and garlic.

Saute for 2 min. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring often. Then, reduce heat and simmer, stirring often for at least 5 min. Add a pinch of sugar if needed.
