Ham and chicken au gratin

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
⅓ cup Butter
⅛ teaspoon Nutmeg
⅔ cup Onions; chopped
⅛ teaspoon Pepper
⅓ cup Flour
3 cups Ham; cooked, diced
3 cups Milk
2 cups Chicken; cooked, diced
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese; cut up
2 cups Rice; cooked
½ cup Buttered fresh breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 350~. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; saute onions til tender. Stir in flour; slowly add milk, stirring constantly til thickened. Combine with remaining ingredients except crumbs in casserole.

Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350~ for 30 to 35 minutes or til brown.

Makes 4-6 servings.
