Ham and chicken au gratin

Ingredients

| ⅓ | cup | Butter |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
| ⅔ | cup | Onions; chopped |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| ⅓ | cup | Flour |
| 3 | cups | Ham; cooked, diced |
| 3 | cups | Milk |
| 2 | cups | Chicken; cooked, diced |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | cup | Sharp cheddar cheese; cut up |
| 2 | cups | Rice; cooked |
| ½ | cup | Buttered fresh breadcrumbs |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350~. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; saute onions til tender. Stir in flour; slowly add milk, stirring constantly til thickened. Combine with remaining ingredients except crumbs in casserole.
Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350~ for 30 to 35 minutes or til brown.
Makes 4-6 servings.
