Grandma's maple syrup

Yield: 16 Servings

Measure Ingredient
4 cups White sugar
½ cup Brown sugar
2 cups Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Maple flavoring

Stir together the first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add flavorings. You may also substitute Butter Nut flavoring for the vanilla and maple. If you simmer for exactly 10 minutes and refrigerate after using, the syrup shouldn't turn to sugar.
