German potato salad

Measure Ingredient
2½ pounds Potatoes, boiled & peeled
8 slices Bacon, fried and chopped
2 tablespoons Bacon drippings
2 tablespoons Flour
⅓ cup Cider vinegar
⅔ cup Water
⅓ cup Sugar
1 medium Onion, chopped finely
½ teaspoon Celery seed

In a large skillet (the one you fried the bacon in) add the flour to the bacon drippings. Brown slightly, then add the vinegar and water. When this comes to a boil add the sugar, onion, celery seed, and bacon. Stir in the potatoes that have been sliced or diced. Make sure the potatoes are coated with the sauce. Serve warm.
