Funk's grove maple sirup bars

Yield: 24 servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter
¼ cup Sugar
1 cup Flour
¾ cup Brown Sugar
⅓ cup Maple Syrup
1 tablespoon Butter
1 Egg
½ teaspoon Vanilla
⅓ cup Chopped Pecans

Cream butter and sugar in food processor. Add flour and process until just blended. Dough does not form ball. Pat into bottom of greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 F for 15 mins or until lightly browned. Beat brown sugar, syrup, and butter to blend. Beat in egg and vanilla. Pour over shortbread. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 25 mins or until set. Cool and cut into bars.

Makes 2 dozen bars.
