| 1 | cup | Brown Sugar; Packed |
| 3 | Eggs; Large | |
| 1 | teaspoon | Lemon Peel, Grated |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 1 | cup | Flour; Unbleached |
| 1 | teaspoon | Baking Powder |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1½ | cup | Figs; Dried, Finely Chopped |
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, peel and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in figs. Pour into greased 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 32 bars.
