Franks and rice casserole

1½ | cup | Onions; thinly sliced |
1 | pounds | Frankfurters; cut into 1/2 inch slices |
2 | cups | Hot cooked rice |
½ | cup | Water |
11 | ounces | Condensed cream of mushroom soup |
6 | slices | American cheese |
Directions
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 15 min.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat oil in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Sauté onions 4-5 minutes, until tender. Add franks and brown lightly. Stir in next 3 ingredients and salt and pepper to taste. Cook 3 minutes, until heated through. Transfer to a baking dish, top with cheese and bake 10-15 minutes.
