Fatfree corn bread

Ingredients

cupYellow cornmeal
½cupWhite or whole wheat flour
1tablespoonBaking powder
1Egg or equivalent
1cupNonfat milk or soy or rice milk
1can(16- or 17-oz) creamed corn
¼cupChopped onion
2tablespoonsChopped red pepper or pimento; more or less
1can(small) ortega chilies
1teaspoonChopped jalapeno chilies (as much or as little as you dare)

Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients. Blend together. Bake 425 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes in a 8 inch square pan or 15 - 20 minutes in muffin pans.
