Measure Ingredient
2 cups Flour
4 teaspoons Baking powder
1 each Egg
1 x Milk
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
3 tablespoons Butter, melted

Sift together the dry ingredients. Add well-beaten egg, the melted butter, and enough milk to make fairly moist, stiff batter. Drop by spoonfuls into boiling liquid. Cover very closely and cook for 18 minutes.
