Measure | Ingredient |

3 mediums | Baking potatoes |
¼ cup | Vermouth |
2 tablespoons | Butter, cut up |
\N \N | Generous dash salt |
\N \N | Generous dash freshly ground pepper |
Peel pots. [Cut in half lengthwise.] Slice ¼" thick. Arrange in a butter 9" or 10" pie plate, overlapping the slices. Pour vermouth over the pots and dot with butter. S&P generously.
[Can prepare ahead to this point.] Bake at 350-375F for about 30 min, till pots are done.
