Baked potatoes

Measure Ingredient
4 larges Russet potatoes; well-scrubbed
4 tablespoons Butter; optional
\N \N Salt
\N \N Black pepper

Heat oven to 450F. Scrub potatoes clean, and remove eyes. Space apart on oven rack and bake for 1 hour. Medium and small potatoes take 50 and 40 minutes respectively.

Cut potatoes open and butter and season to taste, or try one of the other standard toppings: lowfat yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream and chives.
