Deep fried onion rings and cabbage and bacon

Oil for frying; 1 onion
200gramsSelf raising flour
300millilitresWater
4Cabbage leaves; shredded
2slicesStreaky Bacon; roughly chopped

Directions

1 Heat the oil in a large deep pan. Cut the onion into ½" rings. Whisk the flour and water to make a batter. Coat the onion rings in the batter and deep fry until golden brown. Deep fry the shredded cabbage and bacon.
