Date and malt flapjacks

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
5 ounces Margarine
4 ounces Malt
8 ounces Oats
3 ounces Dates; finely chopped
1 Pinches salt

1. Melt the margarine and malt in a saucepan. Remove from the heat and add the oats dates and salt.

2. Grease a 7in square shallow tin, press the mixture evenly into it and bake for 20 minutes at 190øC/370øF/gas mark 5.

3. Cut into squares while stlll warm but leave until cool before removing from the tin.
