|1½ pounds||LEAN ground sirloin chuck or round|
|⅓ medium||Sweet onion - diced|
|¼ cup||Chi-Chi's Fiesta Picante - Mild|
|2 cans||(11.5 oz) tomato juice|
|1 can||(10 3/4 oz) tomato soup|
|1 can||(14.5 oz) regular diced tomatoes|
|1 tablespoon||(level) of *Ancho Chile Seasoning|
|1 teaspoon||Celery seed|
|¼ teaspoon||Coarse black pepper|
In a large pan, cook the beef and onion till meat is brown. Drain fat. Stir in tomato juice, picante sauce, undrained diced tomatoes, soup and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Add water as necessary to achieve desired consistency.
