Coconut-cherry bars

Yield: 24 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup All-purpose flour
½ cup Margarine; soften
3 tablespoons Powdered sugar
2 \N Eggs
1 cup Sugar
¼ cup All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
½ teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
¾ cup Nuts; chopped
½ cup Coconut; flaked
½ cup Maraschino cherries
\N \N (chopped and drained)

Heat oven to 350~. Mix 1 cup flour, the margarine and powdered sugar.

Press in greased baking pan, 8" square or 9" square. Bake 10 minutes. Beat eggs; stir in remaining ingredients. Spread over baked layer Bake until golden brown, 25-30 minutes; cool. Cut into bars, 2x1".
