Cinnamon - brownie bars

Ingredients

½ | cup | Butter or margarine |
2½ | each | 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate |
2 | eaches | Eggs |
1 | cup | Sugar |
½ | cup | All-purpose flour |
¼ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
¼ | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
½ | cup | Pecans or walnuts; chopped |
5 | eaches | 1.05 ounce bars milk chocolate |
Directions
Combine butter and chocolate in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Cool mixture slightly.
Beat eggs; gradually add sugar, beating constantly, until smooth and thickened. Add chocolate mixture; beat well.
Combine dry ingredients; add to chocolate mixture, mixing well.
Stir in pecans. Pour into a greased and floured 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven, and immediately arrange milk choclate bars over brownies; cover loosely with aluminum foil for 3 to 5 minutes or until chocolate melts. Remove foil; spread candy evenly over top. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 16 (2-inch) squares.
