Chicken burgers on toast sourdough bread

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
14 ounces Ground chicken
½ cup Plus
1 tablespoon Seasoned dried bread crumbs
1 Egg; lightly beaten
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 drops Hot pepper sauce; or to taste
4 1-oz diagonal slices sourdough bread; toasted
4 Lettuce leaves
2 tablespoons Plus
2 teaspoons Sweet pickle relish

IN a medium bowl, combine chicken, bread crumbs, egg, and Worcestershire and hot pepper sauces lightly but thoroughly; shape mixture into 4 equal patties.

Spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray; place over medium heat. Add chicken patties; cook, turning once, 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

To serve, top each slice of bread with 1 lettuce leaf; place 1 cooked chicken patty and 2 teaspoons of the pickle relish onto each leaf.

EACH SERVING PROVIDES: ¼ vegetable; 3 proteins; 1¾ breads; 10 optional calories
