Carrot donuts

Measure Ingredient
3 \N Eggs
¾ cup Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Oil
2 tablespoons Milk
2 drops Lemon juice
2 teaspoons Sherry
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
1 cup Cooked mashed carrots
3 cups White wheat flour
½ teaspoon Salt
3 teaspoons Baking soda
3 teaspoons Baking powder
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Grated orange rind


Mix all ingredients together well, roll out on floured board, cut and fry.

This dough is very sticky, but if you add too much extra flour they get too heavy.

(Sour milk: use regular milk with lemon juice added - 1 tablespoon juice per 1 cup milk)
