Caramels

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Cream
1¾ cup Corn sirup
1 cup Butter or butter substitute
1 cup Chopped nuts
\N \N Few grains salt

Boil all together except the nuts and 1 cup cream. Boil 30 minutes.

Add the second cup of cream and boil to a firm ball stage (248 F).

Add nuts and pour without stirring into well-buttered pan. When cold cut in squares. Mildred Rahm, Ormsby, MN.
