Butterscotch oatmeal cookies

Yield: 44 Cookies

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Shortening
2 teaspoons Sugar
1 \N Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 pack Butterscotch pudding mix (4 serving)
1½ cup Oats
1 cup Flour
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking powder
1½ teaspoon Cream of tartar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets. Cream shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix together the dry pudding mix, oats, flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Stir dr ingredients into creamed mixture. Roll the mixtire into balls about 1½ in diameter. Place on cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake about 10 minutes.
