Butterscotch icing

Ingredients

4tablespoonsButter
½cupBrown sugar
teaspoonSalt
cupRich milk or evaporated milk
2cupsConfectioner's sugar; about
½teaspoonVanilla

Directions

Combine butter, brown sugar, salt and milk in pan and heat until smooth.

Cool slightly. Sift confectioner's sugar into mixture and stir in vanilla.

Spread on cake.
