|4 tablespoons||Sour milk|
|¼ cup||Butter or butter substitute|
|¼ teaspoon||Baking soda|
|1 cup||Chopped raisins|
Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
Add bran. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Beat thoroughly. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add raisins. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven (400 F) about 20 minutes. 20 servings. Mrs. Carl Clements, Paonia, CO.
