Boiled shrimp

Ingredients

| 5 | pounds | Shrimp; in shell |
| 2 | tablespoons | Liquid shrimp boil |
| 1 | tablespoon | Red pepper |
| 1 | can | (12-oz) beer; optional |
| 1 | tablespoon | Garlic powder; optional |
| 1 | Lemon; juice of | |
| 1 | small | Onion; sliced |
| ½ | Box salt | |
Directions
Bring all seasonings, except salt, to hard boil in enough water to cover shrimp. Drop in shrimp. When it boils again, add salt and stir. Boil hard for 1 minute. Turn off heat; cover pot; let stand 8 minutes. Drain.
