Measure | Ingredient |

5 pounds | Shrimp; in shell |
2 tablespoons | Liquid shrimp boil |
1 tablespoon | Red pepper |
1 can | (12-oz) beer; optional |
1 tablespoon | Garlic powder; optional |
1 \N | Lemon; juice of |
1 small | Onion; sliced |
½ \N | Box salt |
Bring all seasonings, except salt, to hard boil in enough water to cover shrimp. Drop in shrimp. When it boils again, add salt and stir. Boil hard for 1 minute. Turn off heat; cover pot; let stand 8 minutes. Drain.
