Blackcurrant cordial

Yield: 1 batch

Measure Ingredient
2 \N -fluid ounces fresh black- currant juice
1 \N 1/2-inch stick of cinnamon
1 ounce TO
2 ounces Sugar (to taste)
\N \N Few scented geranium leaves fluid ounces Spanish brandy or vodka

Place the juice, cinnamon, sugar and geranium leaves in a suitable bottle. Fill up with brandy or vodka. Cap firmly and shake well.

Leave in a warm place for a few days to dissolve the sugar and then keep in a cool place for a month before straining through muslin or flannel into clean bottles.
