Beef & tater loaf

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 pounds Ground beef
2 cups Onion, chopped
1½ cup Celery, chopped
⅔ cup Green pepper, chopped
3 tablespoons Lard
1 tablespoon Chili powder
1½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 \N Clove, garlic, minced
2 cans Tomato soup (21 oz), cond.
2 cups Potatoes, mashed

cook onion, celery and green pepper in lard until tender. Add ground beef and cook until lightly browned. Pour off drippings. Add chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic and tomato soup and heat through. Pour into 2½ qt casserole or 7 10 ounce custard cups. Tube mashed potatoes on top. Bake at 425 F. 15 - 20 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned.
