1 cup | Kellogg's All-Bran |
¾ cup | Milk |
1 cup | Flour |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
2½ teaspoon | Baking powder |
Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly; add egg and beat until creamy.Add All-Bran and milk; let soak until the moisture is taken up. Sift flour with salt and baking powder; add to first mixture and stir konly until flour disappears. Fill greased muffin pans ⅔ full and bake in a moderate oven 400 degrees for about 30 minutes or until done.
Note; When sour milk or buttermil is used instead of sweet milk, use ½ tsp soda and only 1 tsp baking powder. Makes 8 large or 12 small muffins.
