Measure | Ingredient |

2 cups | Flour |
1 cup | White sugar |
1 cup | Milk |
½ cup | Butter, softened |
2 teaspoons | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
3 \N | Eggs |
Place all ingredients in large bowl. Using electric mixer, beat on low speed for about a minute, or until no lumps remain. Increase speed to high and continue to beat for about 3-4 minutes until batter is smooth and silky looking. Pour into greased 9 inch cake pan. Bake in a 350F oven for about 45-50 minutes or until it tests clean.
Allow to cool in pan. Can be iced with your favorite icing, or sprinkled with a dusting of icing sugar.
