\"tootie\" bread

Ingredients

1Loaf French bread
1pack(8-oz) Swiss cheese slices
½cupMargarine; softened
¼cupFinely chopped onion
1tablespoonPrepared mustard
1tablespoonPoppy seeds
4slicesUncooked bacon; cut into small pieces

Directions

Preheat oven to 400ø. Partially slice the bread into 16 pieces. Cut each slice of cheese diagonally and place one triangle of cheese in between each piece of bread. Place the bread on a foil covered cookie sheet. Combine margarine, onion, mustard and poppy seeds and mix well. "Ice" the bread on top and sides. Place small pieces of bacon on top. Bake for 20 minutes and serve hot. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
