Yavapai sunflower bread

Yield: 1 Loaf

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Honey
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ cup Butter; softened
1 tablespoon Baking powder
2 \N Egg; beaten
1 cup Milk
1 cup FLour, whole wheat
1½ cup Sunflower seeds, ground shell & meat or meat only
½ cup Sunflower meats; whole or coarsely chopped

Beat the honey and butter together, then beat in the eggs. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and ground seeds, adding to the honey-butter mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the whole sunflower seeds. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake one hour at 325 F. Cool on a rack. This bread slices better when cool.
