Williamsburg scalloped oysters

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter
½ cup Flour
1½ teaspoon Paprika
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 dash Cayenne
1 small Minced onion
½ \N Minced green pepper
½ \N Minced garlic clove
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 quart Oysters with liquid
¼ cup Fine cracker crumbs

Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, cooking & stirring until light brown. Stir in paprika, salt, pepper & cayenne. Add onion, green pepper & garlic; cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring. Remove from heat & add lemon juice, Worcestershire & oysters (which have been picked over & heated in own juice). Pour into greased 1½ quart casserole; top with cracker crumbs. Bake in 400 oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
